A settlement agreement has been proposed in Salazar v. District of Columbia, Civil Action No. 93-452 (TSC), that may affect the rights of certain District of Columbia residents who are or have children who are 21 years of age or younger and are eligible for or enrolled in D.C. Medicaid.

District Awarded Level Two Establishment Grant To Build Health Benefit Exchange

Mayor Vincent C. Gray today announced that the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded a Level Two Establishment Grant for $73 million to the District’s Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) for the continued development of the District’s Health Benefit Exchange (HBX). The multi-year grant is awarded to states further along in building their Exchanges. The Level Two Grant funding will be used to develop the IT infrastructure, operations, education, and outreach activities to support the required functions of the District’s Exchange.
