DHCF Announces Release of the Medicaid Payment Adjustment for Provider Preventable Conditions Policy

On June 6, 2011, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published in the Federal Register a final rule for the Medicaid program implementing section 2702 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), (Pub. Law 111-148). Section 2702 of the ACA prohibits federal payments to States for Medicaid expenditures on Provider Preventable Conditions.
