The federal health reform law – the Affordable Care Act – created insurance marketplaces called Health Benefit Exchanges for consumers and small businesses. The law requires the Exchanges to establish Navigator Programs which will provide grants to eligible organizations and individuals to work with consumers and small businesses to help them use the Exchange. The law provides guidelines for setting up a Navigator Program, but leaves many decisions for states to make.
The Crider Group has been hired by the District to make recommendations on how the Navigator Program should be set up. As part of our work, we want to gather information from DC residents and other stakeholders on how they think the DC Navigator Program should be designed and implemented. So, we have created a survey to get your thoughts about the Navigator Program. We are also seeking volunteers to participate in focus groups about Navigators. The survey lets you identify whether you are interested in being a part of a focus group.
Here is the web link to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3Y5NZB8.
We would appreciate your answers to any or all of the questions in the attached survey. You can answer the questions directly in the online survey or you can send your comments as a separate document.
