The purpose of this transmittal is to inform the District of Columbia hospitals of the new policy and procedures related to emergency medical services for Alliance beneficiaries. Effective October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013, Medicaid-reimbursable emergency medical services will no longer be included in the Alliance benefit package. Claims for these services should be submitted directly to the Department of Health Care Finance.
