(Washington, DC) The Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) announced that the District received approval of the 75-percent Federal financial participation (FFP) for the operation of its replacement Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
Washington, D.C.—The Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) and the Department of Human Services (DHS) announced that the District will receive $48,586,609 in federal funding to support the design, development, implementation and operation of a new Medicaid and Human Services eligibility system, enrollment and case management system.
The Mayor's Health Reform Implementation Committee (HRIC) Executive Committee meeting will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at 899 N. Capitol Street, NE, at 2 pm in Conference Room 6130.

DHCF to host American Diabetes Alert Day Roundtable Discussion on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Conference Room 6130 from 2 pm – 4 pm. Come hear Guest Speaker, Rosa Rosen, from NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

The federal health reform law – the Affordable Care Act – created insurance marketplaces called Health Benefit Exchanges for consumers and small businesses. The law requires the Exchanges to establish Navigator Programs which will provide grants to eligible organizations and individuals to work with consumers and small businesses to help them use the Exchange. The law provides guidelines for setting up a Navigator Program, but leaves many decisions for states to make.
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) released the Request for Proposal (RFP) that will be used to solicit bids from managed care companies that are interested in coordinating the delivery of health care services provided to District residents through the Medicaid and Alliance programs. The RFP will allow DHCF to simultaneously secure a third health plan for the final year of the current contract which ends on April 30th, 2013 and select three health plans for the new contract beginning May 1st 2013.
