The Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) is working to implement Section 1902(a)(13) of the Affordable Care Act which requires State Medicaid agencies to increase payment rates for certain primary care services beginning January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2014. Rates will be set at 100% of the Medicare rates in effect for CY 13 and 14 or, if higher, the rate that would be applicable using the CY 2009 Medicare conversion factor.

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today the District released a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from managed care companies that are interested in coordinating the delivery of health care services provided to District residents through the Medicaid and Alliance programs. The RFP will allow the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) to secure three health plans for a new five-year contract period beginning May 1, 2013.
DC Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) Provider Payments Delayed to Monday, November 5th
(Washington, DC) Due to the closure of DC Government for Hurricane Sandy, processing of payments to DC Medicaid providers has been delayed one business day to Monday, November 5, 2012. Provider payments will resume on the normal Friday schedule next week. Any questions should be directed to XEROX at 202-906-8319.
(WASHINGTON, DC)- The Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) today announced that the beneficiaries and health care providers of DC Chartered Health Plan (Chartered) should experience no interruption in services or payments as the Department and Chartered resolve contract issues. Chartered is one of three managed-care organizations (MCO 's) chosen by the District to provide health care services to DC residents who participate in the Medicaid and Alliance health programs.
