DHCF and DC HIE Policy Board to Host Health Information Exchange Stakeholder Summit

The Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) in collaboration with the District of Columbia Health Information Exchange (DC HIE) Policy Board, will hold a Health Information Exchange (HIE) Stakeholder Summit Wednesday, September 10 from 8 am to 4 pm at George Washington University’s Marvin Center.
 
The Summit will bring together healthcare leaders representing a variety of organizations including hospitals & health systems, health insurers, ambulatory health centers, government agencies and patients.

Public Notice: DHCF Statement on SOVALDI

Date Released: 
The Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) has published the prior authorization clinical criteria for Sovaldi® (sofosbuvir). Sovaldi® is a new oral treatment option for patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1, 2, 3, or 4 infection, including those with hepatocellular carcinoma meeting Milan criteria (awaiting liver transplant) and those with HCV/human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1 co-infection.

Public Notice: Proposed Medicaid State Plan Amendment Governing Health Homes for Individuals With Serious Mental Health Conditions

The Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF), in accordance with the requirements set forth in 42 CFR § 447.205, announces the upcoming submission of an amendment to the District of Columbia State Plan for Medicaid Assistance requesting authority from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to create Health Homes for individuals with serious and persistent mental health conditions.

Department of Health Care Finance Issues Termination Notices to Six Home Health Care Agencies

The Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) announced today that it will exercise its contractual right to terminate six home care agencies from the District’s Medicaid program effective July 15, 2014.  

The six providers that will receive termination notices (see below) may appeal this decision by requesting a hearing with the Office of Administrative Hearings within fifteen (15) days of the date of the final notice of termination.
