EPD & IDD Waiver Information Meeting

DHCF and the DC Department on Disability Services along with the Advocates for Justice & Education, will present on the "Elderly and Persons with Disabilities Waiver" as well as the "Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Waiver" on June 16, 2015 from 5 pm -7 pm.
 
The Elderly and Persons with Disabilities (EPD) Waiver is a home and community-based program designed to provide the elderly and/or persons with physical disabilities quality health care services in the comfort of that person's home and community.

Public Notice of Public Forum on EPD Waiver Amendment

DHCF will hold a public forum on proposed amendments to the District of Columbia Medicaid program’s Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver for the Elderly and Persons with Physical Disabilities (EPD). At this time, written and oral comments on the proposed amendments will be accepted. The public forum will be held at the DC Department of Health Care Finance, 441 Fourth Street NW, Main Street Conference Room (Room 1028), Washington, DC 20001 on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from 10:30 am to 12 pm. Announcement - Submitted to CMS: District of Columbia Plan to Comply with New Federal Home and Community Based Services Requirements

Date Released: 
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a final rule effective March 17, 2014, that contains a new, outcome-oriented definition of home and community-based services (HCBS) settings. The purpose of the federal regulation, in part, is to ensure that people receive Medicaid HCBS in settings that are integrated in and support full access to the greater community.
