The State Innovation Model (SIM) Core Team at the Department of Health Care Finance is pleased to announce the recent release of  the Interim Final Draft of the District’s State Health Innovation Plan (SHIP) – a collective strategy to transform the District’s current healthcare landscape into one that is driven by value and quality.

 

This Draft is the result of a nine month District-wide stakeholder engagement effort incorporating  input from a variety of stakeholders including District government officials, payers, health and social services providers, and community members. Led by the SIM Advisory Committee, they have provided their input and guidance on how on to improve primary healthcare and better coordinate the care of the District’s most vulnerable residents.

 

The SIM Core team encourages the public to take the time to read through the draft SHIP and provide feedback to the team.
