On September 1, 2021, Mayor Bowser issued Mayoral Order 2021-105: Health Care Resources Emergency Administrative Issuance.

Attached is a signed order from Mayor Bowser declaring a health systems emergency based on the current status of the District’s Medicaid managed care program.  As noted therein, the order gives agency and other leadership broad authority to implement measures that are necessary to ensure the health and safety of District residents.
