FY25 MCAC Vacancy Announcement and Application Form

DHCF is accepting applications to fill five (5) vacancies on its MCAC. For the purpose of this application, DHCF is seeking to fill four beneficiaries or beneficiary advocates and one provider​​​​​​ vacancy. All five appointments will be for a three-year term. The term begins on October 1, 2025 and will end on September 30, 2028.

Interested individuals are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the MCAC by-laws in advance of their application submission, which can be found on DHCF's website at the following link (DC Medical Care Advisory Committee ). 

The MCAC is limited to having no more than fifteen (15) voting members. Membership is predominantly comprised of beneficiaries or advocates and no more than 49% of the MCAC members (i.e., seven (7) members) shall be classified as health care providers who are familiar with both the medical needs of low-income population groups and the resources available and required for their care. At least one MCAC member must be a board-certified physician.

Beneficiaries and beneficiary advocates and may represent the following interests:

  • Medicaid beneficiaries;
  • Individuals legally responsible for a Medicaid beneficiary;
  • Family members of Medicaid beneficiaries;
  • Non-governmental social service agencies; and/or
  • Beneficiary advocate groups.
