Over the past several months the Department of Health Care Health conducted trainings for over 220 providers and their staff, sister agencies, and other stakeholders to explain new rules regarding Long Term Care Financial eligibility. These changes are effective July 1, 2015. The District adopted new Long Term Care Financial Eligibility rules on May 13, 2015 which were published in the DC Municipal Regulations on May 22, 2015. The purpose of this transmittal is to advise providers of the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) policy on financial eligibility requirements for Medicaid long term care applicants and beneficiaries in the District of Columbia.
