(Washington, DC) – In light of the recent court order issued by United States District Judge Gladys Kessler, the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) will extend the deadline for filing reimbursement claims for out-of-pocket expenses for all Medicaid beneficiaries who state that they filed or attempted to file a reimbursement claim relying on an incorrect address for the Recipient Claims Research Team (RCRT).  The deadline to submit a reimbursement claim has been extended from 180 days from the date of service to 270 days from the date of service. Each claim for reimbursement must be submitted no later than March 31, 2014.  Reimbursement claim forms are available on DHCF website at https://www.dc-medicaid.com/dcwebportal/nonsecure/recipientForms or by contacting the RCRT at (202) 698-2009.
