This guidance provides direction to SUD residential treatment providers to assess Medicaid Fee for Service (FFS) beneficiaries (aged 21-64) for IMD stays and obtain an authorization from DHCF’s contracted Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), which is currently Comagine Health, for an SUD residential treatment stay beginning November 1, 2023.
