The purpose of this transmittal is to announce that under the District of Columbia State Plan for Medical Assistance (State Plan), Physician Assistants (PA) may now enroll in the Medicaid program and be listed as the rendering provider of service on claims submitted to the DC Medicaid program. {Please note that this change does not expand the scope of practice for PAs as defined under DCMR 17-4911.
