This transmittal provides notice of changes to the claims submission process for services related to labor and delivery provided to beneficiaries covered under the Alliance program. It is the policy of the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) and the Economic Security Administration (ESA) to provide Emergency Medicaid coverage to individuals who receive treatment for an emergency condition and who meet all eligibility requirements of the Medicaid program except for citizenship and immigration status.
