The DHCF Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) is a group where Medicaid beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers can share their experiences and ideas on how Medicaid can better meet people’s needs. BAC members:
- Give feedback on policies and programs that affect Medicaid beneficiaries
- Share problems that beneficiaries have getting the care they need
- Support clearer communication and public understanding of Medicaid services
- Help build stronger connections between beneficiaries and DHCF
The BAC meets four times per year and follows the DC fiscal year (October 1 – September 30). BAC meeting materials as well as the bylaws can be found below.

Applications for FY 2027 BAC is now closed.
DHCF is currently reviewing all submitted applications. Notifications regarding selection decisions will be sent once the review process is completed, expected in September 2026. Thank you to everyone who applied and for your interest in serving on the BAC.
