Transmittal 26-01 - 2026 HCPCS CPT Code Update

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) releases modifications of the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code set annually. Level I of the HCPCS are CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, maintained by the American Medical Association (AMA), that are used primarily to identify medical services and procedures furnished by physicians and other health care professionals.

Transmittal 26-26 - Change to Services Provided in IMD for Medicaid Beneficiaries Aged 21-64 Years

The purpose of this transmittal is to inform you that effective October 1, 2026, DC Medicaid Managed Care Plans (MCPs) shall cover patient stays in Institutions for Mental Disease (IMD) for enrollees aged 21-64 years for up to sixty (60) days rather than only the first fifteen (15) days.

Transmittal 26-24 - Removal of Cost-Sharing in Fee For Service Medicaid for Prescription Drugs and Eyeglasses

The purpose of this transmittal is to notify all DC Medicaid providers that the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) Fee-for-Service (FFS) Medicaid program will no longer require cost-sharing for prescription drugs or eyeglasses beginning on October 1, 2026.
