Overview of Current Position / Tenure at DHCF
As a key member of the Executive Management Team in the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF), acts as advisor to the Director on all matters related to administrative operations of the department including formulation of policies and strategies related to budgeting, financial oversight and program management including rate setting and reimbursement related to the District’s Medicaid, State Children’s Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP) and Alliance programs. As the Chief Operating Officer, until middle of September 2014, Ms. Chaudhuri was responsible for contracts and procurement, human resources, property management, administrative support functions, agency performance management, information technology and risk management.

Career Highlights
Prior to DHCF, Ms. Chaudhuri was the Director for Financial Management Services & Operations in the Office of Budget & Planning (OBP), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). She developed and published the five year Financial Plan for the District of Columbia and oversaw the support services such as personnel management, program budget management, and procurement and information systems. As the Administrative Services Manager for HIV/AIDS Administration, she managed grants and contracts, developed the program budget, managed the support services including personnel and information technology. Ms. Chaudhuri started in District of Columbia government as the Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Health, which at the time included Medicaid and Environment within its programmatic structure. Prior to joining the District of Columbia government, Ms. Chaudhuri was the Assistant Secretary for Management Services in the Maryland Department of Natural Resources during Governor Glendening’s administration.
